United Way Supports CATs

Bright BeginningsAdvocacy, Community

United Way Monterey County has funded two new investments to expand quality, affordable child care:

  • A Summer Bridge program for incoming Kindergarten students in Castroville who have not previously had access to center-based care. The program will help ease the transition to Kindergarten by introducing them new skills in a school environment.

  • Support and resources to develop a network for the informal family, friends and neighbors who provide care for most of the families in Gonzales. These caretakers are the key to financial stability for working families and are instrumental in preparing children for success in school and beyond!
