The Monterey County Herald highlighted our Family Friendly press event in a recent article titled “Family-friendly businesses recognized.”
The article described both certifications and provided quotes from Leinette Limtiaco, president of the Central Coast Federal Credit Union, Megan Kennedy-Chouane, senior manager of Bright Beginnings, and Kiran Kamath, senior Dean of planning and institutional effectiveness at Monterey Peninsula College.
“The idea is to start by recognizing businesses that are doing good things for children in the community,” said Kennedy-Chouane. “We know how much of a difference the first five years of a child’s lives (make), and working conditions have a huge impact on children’s development.”
