Relationships Matter Deeply

We know that mental health is key to a child’s success. At this month’s Monterey County Children’s Council (MCCC) General Assembly, Francine Rodd presented how First 5 Monterey County equips professionals serving children 0-5 and their families through the Infant Family Early Childhood Mental Health Initiative. This initiative provides bilingual cross-disciplinary training, facilitates learning groups, reflective practice, and builds systems capacity.

“The idea that relationships matter deeply is a basic concept in infant and early childhood mental health,” shared Francine.
