Celebrating what’s working in Monterey County
Hosted by Bright Futures for Monterey County, Bright Beginnings gathered with local partners and thought leaders at CSUMB to celebrate the “bright spots” from our collective impact approach to foster better educational outcomes on the career pathway.
Highlighting the good work happening around kindergarten readiness through greater access to quality early learning opportunities, Bright Beginnings honored Quality Mattersand the junior kindergarten program at Rose Ferrero Elementary School in Soledad (also known as Transitional Kindergarten (TK)). We also celebrated the advances in including children in all policies by spotlighting the City of Gonzales’ general plan passed last year.
What do we learn from our Bright Spots? That a commitment to quality early learning experiences and decision-makers’ commitment to investing in the early years of a child makes a big difference in preparing our young children for school and life.
