Hosted by AUSD for Preschool, TK, and Kindergarten Students
Extensive research has concluded that high-quality, early childhood education leads to better academic outcomes and emotional-social success of a child. TK or Preschool combined with a further year of Kindergarten gives young children the opportunity to develop and learn over a longer period before entering grade school.
For the little ones of the Alisal community, Alisal Union School District (AUSD) hosted an early learning enrollment fair in July for little ones starting Preschool, TK, or Kindergarten. Parents had the opportunity to speak to AUSD enrollment specialists and get a head start in completing the enrollment requirements. Special thank you to the Buckhorn Early Learning Center Committee for putting on this event and to Mamas de Salinas Abogan for sharing information regarding their advocacy efforts, the importance of early learning, and distributing books to families.
