Bright Beginnings was in D.C. at the Strive Together Cradle to Career Network Convening, with our local Bright Futures team and 400+ changemakers from across the country, united in the work of breaking down barriers and creating opportunities for every child, regardless of race or zip code. In attendance were Sonja Koehler, interim manager of Bright Beginnings; Francine Rodd, executive director of First 5 Monterey County, co-chair of Bright Beginnings, and steering partner of Bright Futures; Dana Edgull of Monterey County Behavioral Health and chair of the Maternal Mental Health Task Force; Cynthia Holmsky, Michael Applegate, and Josh Warburg, staff of Bright Futures; Janet Shing of Community Foundation for Monterey County and Joel Hernandez-Laguna of the Center for Community Advocacy, both steering partners for Bright Futures.
