COVID Response & Recovery for Child Care & Wellbeing
As we keep adapting to a new COVID context, the COVID Response & Recovery Coalition for Child Care & Wellbeing continues to connect the early care and learning community to resources and each other. Sign up for the weekly digest here, read archives here, and join us at our next meeting on Wednesday, December 15 at 1:30pm here. On the agenda: COVID Conversations, ARPA funded master planning to increase child care spaces in Monterey County, and general announcements.
VIDA Community Health Workers
Partners in the Bright Beginnings Early Childhood Development Initiative continue to support the VIDA Community Health Worker (CHW) program to help prevent the spread of COVID and to help families recover from its impact. Reach out to VIDA agencies in your community here (scroll to the bottom). We’ve supplied Shelter-In-Play boxes in partnership with First 5 Monterey County, MYMuseum and Transportation Agency of Monterey County (TAMC), diapers through Bright Beginnings’ backbone, and children’s books through First 5 Monterey County. Also in partnership with First 5 Monterey County, we’ve supported the wellbeing of the CHWs by providing reflective practice circles. Thank you all for supporting each other and our community!
