Vaccines By the Numbers
84% of eligible Monterey County residents ages 5+ have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, as reported here by the Monterey County Health Department on April 18. Stay informed with the Monterey County COVID-19 portal.

- We need your input! Please fill out a simple Healthy Monterey County Needs Assessment and help shape the future of health in Monterey County.
- Microbusiness COVID-19 Relief Grants are available for Monterey County businesses that made less than $50k in 2021. Watch the informational webinar and apply for the grant here. Applications are available in English and Spanish.
- Mask mandates are changing across the U.S. Stay tuned for more information from the CDC, State, Federal and local entities.
- Wondering if you may be eligible for a second booster shot? Check your eligibility for the COVID-19 vaccine boosters here and schedule an appointment at myturn.ca.gov.
- MPUSD is enrolling toddlers, Pre-K, TK, and Kindergarteners! Check out and share these flyers with your community. Download the application here.
- As part of the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing’s (CTC) work to develop the Preschool through 3rd grade (PK-3) ECE Specialist Credential, a new set of preparation program standards has been drafted. Provide your input by Tuesday, April 26.
- Build capacity to support the quality of infant and toddler care in your programs and enhance the professional development of your teachers. Apply for the Program for Infant Toddler Care trainer certification by Monday, August 15.
- CPIN is hosting a free webinar on how to talk to parents about concerns on Saturday, May 7 and Wednesday, May 18. Please see the flyer for more information and how to register here.
- Need support helping children with social-emotional or behavioral challenges in your family child care center or FFN setting? California Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Network offers free virtual consultation services to those who need help. Learn more here.
- There are additional funds available for materials, training, and fees associated with starting new and expanding child care programs in Monterey County! Contact Maria Ortiz at the Resource and Referral at 831-757-0775 for information.
- The Program for Infant/Toddler Care (PITC) Online Group Course starts Monday, May 9. Contact Laura Keeley-Saldana for more information on how you can earn 3 ECE units. Register here.

- The Monterey County Preschool Service Corps (PSC) program is looking for new AmeriCorps members for the 2022-23 year to support language and literacy development in partnering preschools. - Calling all Monterey County licensed family child care educators and centers! Quality Matters Monterey will release the 2022-23 application for new Quality Matters sites on Sunday, May 1.
