2019 Is Looking BRIGHT!

Bright BeginningsUncategorized

This year has already brought a lot of good news for early childhood, and we are particularly excited by all that is happening at the state policy level (be sure to read more below).

Locally, this spring we will celebrate the first anniversary of the collaborative, county-wide early childhood development strategic framework, “Together, Preparing Every Child for Life and School.” Building on the work of the original Bright Beginnings geographically based Collaborative Action Teams (CATs), several strategy-based teams have evolved in the past six months, including Family, Friends and Neighbor Caregiver Capacity Building, Transitional Kindergarten (TK) Learning Network, Maternal Mental Health, and Child Care Accessibility Team. Click here to learn more about each team and how you can get involved.

We look forward to sharing more exciting opportunities and announcements happening this year for young children and their families in Monterey County.
